" Dear Gerlinde,
Every year, Native American children start the school year without the school supplies many of us take for granted. No pencils or notebooks. No textbooks. No special “first day of school” outfit.
But, at St. Joseph’s Indian School, these everyday items are possible because of YOU!
Thanks to your support, the Lakota children are provided with the basic things that every child deserves — a safe home, a quality education and caring houseparents. And now, as our students settle in for the new school year, we need your help once again.
Make a gift through our Back-to-School Basics Store by FRIDAY, September 5, to help provide back-to-school necessities! Our goal of $60,000 will provide books, clothes and healthy meals — everything the Lakota students need to succeed.
Your gift through the Back-to-School Basics Store means so much more to our Lakota (Sioux) students than just a textbook or a pair of shoes. It lets these precious children know there are people out there who care for them, and who believe they will achieve their dreams.

Make a gift today. Every dollar you give will help provide the Lakota children up-to-date textbooks, clean clothing and nutritious meals — everything they need for a safe, successful school year.
Pilamaya — thank you — for helping make their dreams a reality!
God bless,
Fr. J. Anthony Kluckman, SCJ
Chaplain, St. Joseph's Indian School"
Enjoy your day!
