Sardines, both the meat and the minuscule bones of canned sardines are edible. One 3-ounce serving supplies more calcium than a cup of low-fat milk and nearly 30 perent of the recommended daily allowance for vitamin D. It is also a good source of protein, Omega-3s and B12.
I mix the sardines with mustard or ketchup and spread the mixture on whole wheat bread and serve it with steamed veggies and a sliced apple or any other fruit you like. You can buy sardines in water, olive oil or a marinade.
Take a little time off and enjoy your day!
